PERU €" Steven W. Cookingham, 54, of Peru, died Sunday, April 15, 2007, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

He was born in Sharon, Conn., on May 27, 1957, the son of Walter H. and Margaret R. (Cadarr) Cookingham Sr.

He was employed at Georgia Pacific for over 20 years and later for two years at Peru Central School until he became disabled. He enjoyed drawing.

He is survived by his wife, Blanche (Perry) Cookingham; his mother, Margaret Cookingham of Harkness; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Maureen Cookingham of Narrowsburg, N.Y., Walter "Butch" and Julie Cookingham Jr. of Peru; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Francis and Barbara Perry of Redford; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Francis and Melissa Perry Jr. of Redford, Maurice and Genevieve Favreau of Saranac, William Perry and companion Dawn Goddeau of Redford; his nieces, Heather, Kirsten, Shannon and Amber Cookingham and Brittany Perry; his nephews, Jeremy and Michael David Cookingham, Joseph and Jeremy Perry; and a great-nephew, Logan Hemingway.

His father, Walter H. Cookingham Sr., died on Oct. 28, 2006.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the O'Neill -Redden-Drown Funeral Home, 94 Court St., in Plattsburgh.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wilfred Mesick officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to his wife, Blanche.
