PYH meeting scheduled for Wednesday
PLATTSBURGH — Plattsburgh Youth Hockey will hold its next meeting on July 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Clinton County Government Center. It is open to the public.
Summer trail-run series continues
KEENE VALLEY — Drew Haas of the Mountaineer and the Adirondack Trail Running Club has created a summer trail run series in Keene Valley.
The informal and free running series will continue on Sunday, July 18, starting at 6 p.m. at Marcy Field.

Youh tennis clinic has openings
PLATTSBURGH — Registration is still being accepted in all age levels for the youth tennis clinic being run by the Champlain Valley Tennis program. It is for youths age 4-14.
The program will begin Tuesday, July 6 and meet every Tuesday for six weeks, from 4:30-7:30 p.m., and Thursday, from 9 a.m.-noon.
The cost is $10-12 per week or $50-60 for the entire session.

NCTA singles tourney July 16-18
PLATTSBURGH — The North Country Tennis Association ( NCTA) will hold its annual singles tournament July 16-18 at the Plattsburgh High School courts. There will be three divisions: Men's Open, Men's B and Women's Open. All participants are guaranteed at least two matches.
Deadline for entry is Tuesday, July 13 by noon.

Kites in the Park slated for July 10
PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department is sponsoring Kites in the Park at Cumberland Head Park Saturday, July 10 from 2-3 p.m. Families within the town are invited to join.
The first 30 children to participate will receive a free kite. Anyone who resides in the Town of Plattsburgh is welcome to attend this free program. Sign up is not required.

Fourth Ward wins in men's baseball
PLATTSBURGH — Jason Mitchell hit a double and Hector Duquette was the winning pitcher as the Fourth Ward Warriors recorded a 6-2 win over the Meron's Expos Thursday in the Over-30 Men's Baseball League at Lefty Wilson Field.
Brad Trombley, Craig King, Rob Calkins, Zeke Perras, Gary Duquette and Craig Bujold all had singles for the Fourth Ward.
Scott Beebie had a single, while John Barry walked and scored a run for Meron's.
CVBL all-star game set for July 10
PLATTSBURGH — The Champlain Valley Baseball League's all-star game against Vermont's Green Mountain League will be held Saturday, July 10 at noon at Chip Cummings Field. Wooden bats will be used and players are asked to bring their own bat, if they have one.
The all-star game against the Clinton County Mariners will be played Tuesday, July 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Lefty Wilson Field.
AVCS football car wash on July 10
AUSABLE FORKS — The AuSable Valley Central School football team is holding its car wash and bottle drive on July 10 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Gordon Oil on Route 9N. Bring your bottle and cans to that location.
If it rains, the bottle drive will take place at AuSable Forks Primary School.
The cost is $5 for wash and $10 for a deluxe wash (wash windows, vacuum and wipe down interior.
All AVCS football players are urged to attend and help out. Be there at 8:30 a.m.
