League meeting, bowling
PLATTSBURGH — The Thursday night men's industrial bowling league will have a meeting at 6 p.m. at North Bowl Lanes.
Bowling will start at 7 p.m.
This is a men's league with five men on each team.

Menard registers ace
PLATTSBURGH — Scott Menard recorded a hole-in-one by using a 6-iron on the fourth hole at The Barracks Golf Course.
The feat was witnessed by Peter Ensel, Mark St. Dennis and Adam Scharp.
Youth bowling program
PLATTSBURGH — The North Bowl Lanes youth bowling program is starting the 2019-20 season at 9 a.m. Saturday for Bumpers/Bantams and 10 a.m. for Preps/Junior-Major-Senior League.
Youth bowlers who register will be given two free games of bowling to be used that day.
The youth bowling program will run for approximately 30 weeks, ending April 11, 2020.
Youth bowlers will be placed in one of four divisions based on age and/or ability.
A one-time $6 USBC/NAUSBC membership fee is required for each youth bowler participating in the Bantams, Preps or Junior-Major-Senior League.
Youth league participation is every Saturday at 9 a.m., and the weekly cost varies by division: Bumpers (up to age 6) $7, Bantams (6-8) $7, Preps (9-12) $10 and Junior-Major-Senior (13-20) $11.
Over the past 10 bowling seasons, youth bowlers in the North Bowl Lanes youth bowling program have earned a total of $ 39,307 in scholarship money.

PSU men's hockey to appear at Airborne
PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State men's hockey team is set to appear at Plattsburgh Airborne Speedway at 5 p.m. Saturday.
The DIRTcar Sportsman and Pro Stock Series program will begin at 6 p.m.
Fans of Plattsburgh State men's hockey can meet student-athletes, practice hockey skills with the players and enter a raffle for two Plattsburgh State men's hockey season tickets.
Other items will be raffled off, too, including tickets to the Enduro 125 Sunday, Sept. 29, at Airborne.

ONCHIOTA — The Town of Plattsburgh Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a kayaking trip from Lake Kushaqua to Rainbow Pond.
The trip will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
Lake Kushaqua is located at 1339 County Route 60, Onchiota, or across from Buck Pond.
Event organizers still have a few kayaks available to rent for $10 each, but the trip is also free and open to anyone bringing their own boat.
