Moriah-Ti football game postponed

PLATTSBURGH — Due to the State of Emergency in Essex County Friday, the Section VII Class D football game scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday between Moriah and Ticonderoga was postponed.

The game has been rescheduled to Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. at Plattsburgh High.

Kids' Nite Out Nov. 9

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh State women’s basketball team is hosting Kids’ Nite Out Saturday, Nov. 9. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Memorial Hall on the Plattsburgh State campus for children ages 5-13.

Cost is $10 per child, and activities include games, sports, arts and crafts, movies and swimming.

On-site registration is only from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Magee named Athlete of the Week

BUFFALO — The D'Youville women's soccer team continued on its recent string of success by remaining undefeated over their last five games.

Junior forward Makenna Magee (Northern Adirondack) continued on her tear in the conference as she led the team in a 5-0 shutout over Pitt.-Bradford Oct. 22.

Magee scored her first career hat-trick in the 5-0 win, including the game-winner, to go with six shots.

Then on Oct. 26, Magee led the team with four shots and three shots on goal in the 1-1 double overtime tie against the Franciscan Barons.

Magee is now tied for third in the conference with 10 goals and is fifth with 20 points. She leads the team in goals and points as well.

This is the second time Magee has been named D'Youville Athlete of the Week.

She has also been named AMCC Offensive Player of the Week this season.

PLATTSBURGH — The Guys & Gals Senior Bowling League has publicized results from recent competition.

This is a senior league with 24 teams (4/team), and it is in need of two more bowlers to complete a team.
