Cornhole tournament information publicized

AUSABLE FORKS — Organizers for the inaugural cornhole tournament scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 17, at Billy Mitchell Memorial Field have only five openings left for the 32-team entry list.

Entry fee is $30 per team with prizes awarded for the top four finishers.

This pick-your-partner event is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. The committee is also offering a $5 random-draw partner tournament on this day scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Dick Crahan Memorial Concession stand will be open all weekend.

Proceeds will benefit the AuSable Valley baseball program.

Public invited to outdoor outing

CADYVILLE — On Saturday, Aug. 3, the public is invited to join the Algonquin Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club on a walk on the Story Book Trail.

Walk in the Cadyville Recreation Park and read "You're Mine, Walker and All" by Christine Parker while walking along.

This is a great outing for children. Adults are welcome.
