PSU, Bonner take down Union, 4-2

SCHENECTADY — Sarah Bonner scored two second-half goals to pace the Plattsburgh State women's soccer team in its 4-2 victory over Union Wednesday.

Bonner and Kirsten Villemaire (Plattsburgh/Beekmantown Central School) combined for three unanswered tallies to supply the Cardinals (2-0) with a 4-1 cushion.

Plattsburgh's Emily Frodyma also found the back of the net in the 24th minute, and the Cardinals' Jenna McCracken assisted on two scoring plays in the match.

Plattsburgh's Julia Ennis posted three saves in net.

The Cardinals host Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at 5 p.m. Saturday.
