GOUVERNEUR -- Beth Wiggins pitched her third no-hitter of the season as the Malone Huskies walloped the Gouverneur Wildcats 19-0 to remain unbeaten in Northern Athletic Conference softball.

Wiggins struck out six and walked three in the six-inning contest. She also helped her cause by going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Ashley Marshall was the hitting star for the Huskies (13-3, 13-0) with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and five runs-batted-in. Erica Johnson was 3-for-3 with two RBI and Abby Premo, 2-for-4 with three RBI. Stephanie Tebo chipped in with two hits.

TUPPER LAKE -- Kristie Dowdle and Brittanie Taillon combined on a no-hitter as Canton (9-4) cruised to victory over winless Tupper Lake. The two had six strikeouts and issued four walks.

The visitors were aided by 22 bases on balls and seven Tupper Lake errors. Jenn McCollum belted a grand slam and Dowdle added an RBI double.

Tupper Lake will host two games today, facing Potsdam at 3 p.m. and Malone afterward.

CHATEAUGAY -- Chateaugay scored 13 runs in the first inning of the opener and 10 runs in the second inning of the nightcap to improve its league record to 7-6 with a sweep of Colton-Pierrepont.

Lindsey Legacy led the Bulldogs in the first game with three hits, including a triple, and six RBI. Winning pitcher Rozzie LaBare also had three hits, including a triple, while Hannah Kinney chipped in with three singles.

Kristen Walton and Lauren LaBare contributed two hits apiece.

In the second game, Walton and Amber Swanston accounted for two hits and two RBI each, with Swanston also rapping a double in support of winning pitcher Philicia LaBare.

CHATEAUGAY -- Justin Corcoran accounted for four hits on the day and Chateaugay swept both ends of a doubleheader with Colton-Pierrepont.

Corcoran went three-for-three, including a double, in the first game and added a double and two RBI in the second as the Bulldogs improved to 7-6 in league play.

Kyle Demers went two-for-two, with a triple, in the opener, while Drew Boyea added two hits, including a double.

In the second game, Nick Farrell chipped in with a double for the Bulldogs.

Pat Cook struck out nine in getting the pitching win in Game 1 and Boyea was the winner in relief in Game 2.

Caleb Campbell paced the Colts with two hits in the opener and Josh Avery rapped out two in the second game.
