MALONE — H & R Block and Nichol's Electric both went 16-4 during the regular season to tie for first place in the Malone AMVETS Gentlemen's Slow Pitch League. The Outlawz and Great View Motel were both a game back in third at 15-5.

The playoffs began last week and Glazier's has already advanced to the quarterfinals by sweeping Forbidden Pleasures, 2-0, in the best-of-three series. Woodman of the World and Drummers, meanwhile, both hold 1-0 leads in their first-round series.
