Stafford June Jubilee Run set for June 9

PLATTSBURGH -- The Stafford Middle School F.S.O. will hold its Third-Annual June Jubilee 5K Run and 1-Mile Run Saturday, June 9. The event will be free to the public with local businesses sponsoring all participants.

The first 100 to register will receive a free t-shirt. Registration will be from 9-9:45 a.m. on the Stafford Middle School track. The run will begin at 10 a.m.

Seton, Carpenter golf tourney Friday

PLATTSBURGH -- The Annual Seton Catholic Booster Club/Larry and Harry Carpenter Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Friday at The Barracks Golf Course, with a noon shotgun start.

Bluff Point Junior Program to begin

PLATTSBURGH -- The summer instructional program for Bluff Point junior season pass holders will begin Thursday, June 21. All juniors ages 10 and over are to report to the practice range on Route 9 at 9 a.m. that day.

Sessions will be held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week. The program includes instruction in all phases of the game, tournaments and individual shot competitions. Other topics of instruction include pace of play, golf course etiquette and course management.

AuSable Valley football team to hold car wash

AUSABLE FORKS -- The AuSable Valley Central School football team, on June 2 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., will be holding a car wash and bottle drive at Gordon Oil on Route 9N.

You can bring your bottles and cans to that location. If it rains, the bottle drive will take place at AuSable Forks Primary School. The cost of the car wash is $5 for wash and $10 for deluxe (wash windows, vacuum and wipe down interior).

Saranac lists fall coaching openings

SARANAC -- Saranac Central School is accepting applications for the following coaching positions: varsity, junior varsity and modified football; boys' varsity, junior varsity and modified soccer; girls' varsity, junior varsity and modified soccer; varsity cross-country and cheerleading advisor.
