Welch Memorial Golf Tournament

PLATTSBURGH — There are still tee times available for the 15th annual Jennifer Welch Memorial Golf Tournament for Saturday, July 13, at Bluff Point Golf Resort.

A reception will follow at 5 p.m. at Oval Craft Brewing.

The tournament is a four-person scramble.

The cost is $60 per person but $45 for Bluff Point members or $40 with a cart pass.

All entry fees include golf, bag, lunch, souvenir, prizes, raffles and drink tickets for Oval Brewing afterparty.

Tee times running from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

PBC bottle drive

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Baseball Club will be conducting a bottle drive from 10 a.m. to 2 pm Saturday outside Bailey Avenue School.

Drop-offs are appreciated.

PFC registration, tryouts

Plattsburgh F.C. announced it will hold its initial girls program registration/tryouts for the 2019-2020 season Thursday, July 11, at the Plattsburgh State Field House.

All players should wear a white T-shirt, shin guards and bring a soccer ball.

Times for the registration/tryouts July 11 are: 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. GU10-14 (2011-2006); 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. GU15-19 (2005-2001).

Registration/tryout is for any current, former or newly interested player.

Players should download a registration form and medical release form from and bring both forms to registration/tryouts.

Tennis workshops

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Youth Bureau will be hosting several free USTA U10 tennis workshops this summer.

Youth from throughout the county are encouraged to attend any of these free clinics.

The clinics are suited for beginners.

No prior experience is necessary.

Boys and girls up to age 10 are invited to participate.

Tennis rackets and balls will be provided.

Pre-registration is required.
