PLATTSBURGH — Ryley O’Connell earned the pitching win to help Peru blank Plattsburgh High, 4-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball Saturday.
O’Connell stifled the Hornets’ bats, allowing only two hits.
Zach O’Connell, Noah Lederman and Peter Mazzella all finished with two hits apiece to pace the Indians.
For Plattsburgh, Dylan Garrant rocked a double.
“O’Connell dominated us,” Hornets coach Patrick Shaughnessy said. “There is no other way to say it. We need to make adjustments at the plate when things aren’t working over and over. Peru is a very talented team, and when you get a pitching performance like that, they are going to be hard to beat.”
