MIDDLEBURY, VT — The Plattsburgh State women's hockey team will be traveling to Middle Vermont for the annual Panther/Cardinal Classic tournament, where they will be facing off Saturday against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls team at 6 p.m.
Plattsburgh is the defending champion and winner of the last six of seven titles at this tournament.
The Cardinals currently hold a 7-0-0 overall, 6-0-0 conference record and enter the tournament undefeated.
The Falcons (5-1-1, 2-1-0) are led by Abigail Stow with eight goals and Bella Wagner with five goals.
Plattsburgh State's Annie Katonka has a team-high six goals, and Sara Krauseneck and Kaitlin Drew-Mead have each scored five goals.
Sophomore Ashley Davis has played in four games and holds a save percentage of .967 for the Cardinals, and Wisconsin-River Falls' Sami Miller has a save average of .935 percent.
The consolation and championship games will be played at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
