North Country women coast to win

ALBANY — The North Country Community College women's basketball team eased its way to a non-region victory Tuesday.

The Saints piled up plenty of offense and took down Bryant & Stratton, 73-30.

Talesa Campbell dropped a game-high 22 points to power North Country.

Campbell was hot from behind the arc, knocking down six treys.

Kayla Carder recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 boards for the Saints, and Damoni Wells finished with 13 points.

"We really struggled to score in the first half," North Country coach Jerrad Dumont said. "We defended well, and our defense is what we say is the heart and soul of our team."

"Campbell really got us going in the second half. We also got out and ran a little bit. We were way faster, and that really made a difference."
