ELLENBURG -- Sarah Brunell served 17 points with four aces to lead Northern Adirondack past Saranac 3-0 in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' volleyball Friday night.

The Bobcats (9-1) swept the Chiefs 25-15, 15-15 and 15-23.

Sarah Trudo and Heather Byron each had had 11 kills in a strong hitting game while Hilary Boyea had 19 assists and six kills. Amanda Byron also had an excellent game passing for the Bobcats.

Mary Farnsworth served 10 points for Saranac (5-4).

CLINTONVILLE -- Alyssa Rabideau served 23 points and also came up with 17 assists to spur Northeastern Clinton (4-6) to a sweep of host AuSable Valley. The Cougars won 25-19, 25-10, 25-12.

Phalon Nolan and Baylee Turner had strong games for AuSable Valley (4-7).

LAKE PLACID -- Nadine McKane had some long serving stretches and the Lake Placid reserves played well in the third game to help the Blue Bombers (4-6) sweep past Peru (1-9). Lake Placid won 25-19, 25-13, 25-20.

McKane wound up with 17 points and four aces while Bethany Valenze had nine points and six kills. Maya Hilt came up with nine assists.

Abbey Fordham had four points, four digs and five assists for Peru.
