The Meron's Expos and Lyon Mountain Miners, the two finalists in last year's playoffs, square off today at noon at South Acres Field as the Champlain Valley Baseball League hopes to resume play.
Of the eight weekends of games thus far, three have been washed away, forcing the league to make adjustments at the end of the regular season.
The Miners are the lone unbeaten team remaining with an 8-0 record, while the Expos, the defending playoff champions, are in third place with a 4-4 mark.
In other doublheaders today, the second-place Plattsburgh Cardinals (7-1) will hope to take care of business and get some help from the Expos when they host the Fourth Ward Timberjaxx (3-5) at Lefty Wilson Field.
The final doubleheader of the day has the Fourth Ward A's (2-6) at the Airborne Speedway Padres (0-8) at Saranac Central School field, with the Padres still looking for their first win.
