WESTPORT -- Will MacIver struck out eight batters and didn't walk anyone over five innings to earn the victory as Westport defeated Keene, 8-4, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference baseball action on Friday afternoon.

Ben Sherman went the final two innings for the Eagles.

MacIver was also the hitting star, rapping out three hits, including a three-run homer in the second inning five RBI.

Adam Robar and Josh Steves each ripped two singles and drove in a run for Westport (4-1).

Paolo Sardella was 2-for-3 with a double to lead the Beavers.

WILLSBORO -- Gaelan Trombley pounded out four hits, including a double and drove in two runs to lead the Eagles past the Warriors.

Chris Vliege and Andy Goodwin had three hits each for the Eagles, with Vliege driving in a run. Jason Baker added two hits.

Ricky and Matt Sayward each had two hits, with a double, for Willsboro.

CROWN POINT -- Philip Nedeau, Travis Tabor, Jacob Spring and James Taylor all homered as the Panthers ruised past the Wildcats.

Nedeau, Tabor and Spring all added doubles. Nedeau finished with six RBI, while Tabor and Spring added four.

Nedeau earned the victory on the mound for the Panthers (6-0) with eleven strikeouts in a complete-game performance.

BOLTON -- Dan Sheridan struck out a season-high 14 batter and didn't allow a walk to lead the Eagles past the Jaguars.

Ben Gaddy paced the Eagles with two doubles and two RBI, while Dan Sherman added two hits with a double.

Jack Reilly and Luke Shane also doubled for the Eagles (4-1), while Wayne Rich contributed a two-run single in a four-run third inning.
