KEENE VALLEY -- Keene got a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh to push past Schroon Lake, 7-6, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference softball action.

The Wildcats had tied the game at 6-all in the top half of the inning on a Kiersten Langabeer RBI single.

Michelle Sardella blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to help extend the Beavers' lead to 4-1 early, but Schroon Lake climbed back.

Carrie Shackett, who picked up the win for Keene, had three hits on the day. Brooke Hartson also had three hits for the Beavers.

Langabeer hit three singles, and Ashley Whitty and Melinda Whitty each had a single and a triple.

Schroon Lake's Savannah Clark had two singles and was the losing pitcher on the day.

WILLSBORO -- The Warriors scored 24 runs in the first two innings to ease past the Eagles.

Codia Holland went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a home run for Willsboro, and Ashley Sherman went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Stephanie Marcotte had a triple, two singles and three RBI, while Denise Lindsay went 2-for-3 with a triple and five RBI. Briana Reynolds hit a home run and a single and brought in two runs.

Westport's Rebecca White had two hits and two RBI, Molly Rascoe added three hits and three RBI, and Stephanie Stevens singled twice and drove in a run. Nancy Armitage chipped in two hits.

ELIZABETHTOWN -- The Lions erupted for 14 runs on 17 hits in the last of the sixth inning to pull out the victory.

Riley Diemand and Allison Dickerson led the charge, each going 4-for-5, with Diemand delivering a bases-loaded triple. Brie Weber went 3-for-5 with a double and four RBI.

Lindsey Seymour went 3-for-4 for Chazy.
