BEEKMANTOWN -- D.J. Barber went the distance for the pitching victory Thursday, leading Beekmantown to a 4-2 decision over Lake Placid in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference baseball.

Barber allowed six hits, struck out 10 and did not walk anyone.

In fact, there wasn't a walk in the game as Lake Placid pitchers Lars Johnson and Jessie Lamica combined to surrender 11 hits, but no walks.

"It was a quick game," said Beekmantown coach Jim Knight, Jr. "That's a good thing because of the weather. We wouldn't have been able to get the seven innings in."

Nick Furnia and David Provost led the Eagles (7-4, 4-2) with two hits apiece, with Furnia, Provost, Andrew Price and Matt Lamora all rapping doubles.

Graeme Butler paced the Blue Bombers with two hits, including a triple. Butler has three triples in his last two games.
