AUSABLE FORKS -- AuSable Valley scored six runs in the fifth inning to battle back in defeating Seton Catholic, 11-6, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference softball on Tuesday.

The Knights (2-7, 2-5) held a 6-4 advantage after four innings, but gave up seven runs over the fifth and sixth innings.

Beth Abair led the way with three hits, including a double, and two RBI to lead the Patriots (7-6, 4-4). Nikki LaBarge, Brooke Pray and Brittany Taylor each had a pair of hits. LaBarge finished with a triple while Mikki Rennie had a double.

Whitney Vincent picked up the win with eight strike outs and two walks.

Kara Stark led Seton Catholic with two hits and a pair of RBI. Samantha Mulcahy and Hannah Menard each chipped in with two hits.

TICONDEROGA 20, PHS 3

PLATTSBURGH -- Anna Besson, Laura Olcott and Ariele Vilardo all rapped out three hits, including a double to lead the Sentinels past the Hornets.

Cheryl Meserve pounded out two doubles for the Sentinels (15-2, 6-0) and Morgan Jordan added two hits.

Olcott went all seven innings and gave up two hits, while striking out 11 batters to pick up the win.

Caitlyn Hecox and Hannah Emery had the lone hits for the Hornets (2-7).

Riley Diemand paced the Lions (1-6) with four hits.

CROWN POINT -- A first-inning single for Alicia Hathaway was the lone hit allowed by the combination of Jonalee Ross and Jordan McGinness as the Panthers rolled past the Eagles.

Marijane Ross, Tricia Lacey and Jessica Potter led Crown Point (10-0) with three hits apiece.

Ashley Zapolski had two hits with a two-run homer, and Hope Lacey belted a grand slam. Blair Marshall finished with two hits and Carrie Lillibridge had two doubles.
