CHAZY — Megan Reynolds and Olivia Seymour were standouts both offensively and defensively in Chazy's 38-34 victory over Willsboro in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' basketball on Wednesday.

Reynold finished with 18 points and Seymour 14 as the two combined for 32 of the Eagles' 38 points.

Hannah Bruno hit a trio of 3-pointers and led Willsboro with 15 points. Amanda Mahoney added eight and Serene Holland had seven.

"It was a good win for us," Chazy coach Matt Devins said. "We got up by eight points in the fourth quarter and were then able to hold on.

"Bruno shot extremely well for them with 10 points in the first quarter and five more in the second. But, we put Megan Reynolds on her in the second half and limited her chances. Katharine Tooke also gave us a spark off the bench."

SCHROON LAKE — Lily Whalen tallied a game-high 16 points as the Lions slipped past the Wildcats.

Shonna Brooks chipped in with six points for Elizabethtown-Lewis while Kearstin Ashline hauled in 10 rebounds.

"We played a pretty good 2-3 zone," Schroon Lake coach Richard Hall said. "We held them to a low shooting percentage, but they beat us at the foul line."

The Lions connected on 11 fouls hots while the Wildcats made just four.

Kate Rose and Gabe Harvey each scored six points to lead the way for Schroon Lake.

LONG LAKE — Jessica Bain tossed in 16 points, dished out seven assists and had three steals as the Orange rolled to victory over the Jaguars.

Sydney Hinckley chipped in with eight points and six rebounds for Indian Lake/Long Lake while Meg Smith added eight points. Morgan Hinckley finished with 10 rebounds and played a nice defensive game.

Astasia Myler paced Johnsburg with six points.

Amanda Wolf added seven points, 10 rebounds and three steals for Crown Point. Julianne Glebus finished with five assists.

Sadie Holbrook led the charge for Keene with seven points.
