PLATTSBURGH — Beekmantown improved to 14-0 on the season with a 3-1 victory over Plattsburgh in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference volleyball action Monday.

The Hornets jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a 25-20 victory in game one.

The Eagles, however, responded with three straight game victories of 30-28, 25-15 and 25-15.

Chelsey Bewsaw led the charge for Beekmantown with 23 points, six aces and five digs. Molly Sorrell added 16 points, seven kills and six digs while Kiana Archer chipped in with five points, five aces, 29 assists and eight kills. Kendra LaFountain finished with 28 digs.

Katie Cantwell paced Plattsburgh (9-5) with 10 points and 10 kills. Kianna Dragoon added five points, 22 assists and five digs while Kayla Boise finished with nine points and 10 digs.

PERU — Abby Higgins had 21 points, five aces, seven kills and 24 digs to lead the way for the Indians in their victory over the Blue Bombers.

Paige Moore added eight points, 12 kills and 11 digs for Peru (12-2) while Lea Perry chipped in with nine points and nine assists. Sam Banker finished with 19 assists and eight digs.

Francesca Pickett led Lake Placid (2-13) with 15 points and five digs. Dani Balestrini added eight points while Serina Hayes finished with seven points and seven kills.
