CCC men blank Paul Smith’s, 2-0

PAUL SMITHS — Clinton Community College’s Rylee Hollister and Andrew Follmer each registered a goal in the second half to send the Cougars past Paul Smith’s College, 2-0, in men’s soccer Wednesday.

Hollister put Clinton on the board, with an assist from Nick Shantie, just after the start of the second half.

Follmer buried a penalty kick at the 20:52 mark.

“Defensively, we were sound, and our attacking was creative and dangerous for the whole 90 minutes,” Cougars coach Keagen Briggs said.

Kyle Vassar eanred a shutout for Clinton.

PAUL SMITHS — Katey Snyder recorded a hat trick to help carry the Bobcats to victory over the Cougars.

Paul Smith’s buried four goals in the second half before Clinton responded at the 40:21 mark. The Bobcats’ Annie DeHaven and Kelly Proctor each tallied. Monica Charland (8) and Paige Chilton (11) combined for 19 saves for the Cougars.
