PLATTSBURGH — The New Hampshire Wild overcame a 3-1 deficit with three runs in the seventh inning in their 5-3 win over the Plattsburgh Thunderbirds Friday at Chip Cummings Field.
Plattsburgh took an early lead in the third inning to break the scoreless tie and pulled further ahead by extending their lead to 3-1 in the sixth.
The Wild came back with three runs in the seventh and another in the ninth to pull out a win in Empire Professional Baseball League play.
New Hampshire's Kenneth Hutchison and Donald Roethler both collected doubles.
Patrick Sheehan led the Wild with two hits and two RBIs.
New Hampshire's Nick Landell, Steven Figueroa and Mark Shkrelja also each contributed two hits.
Plattsburgh's Simon Palenchar was responsible for two hits and two RBIs.
The Thunderbirds will continue their series with a doubleheader against the Wild, beginning at noon Saturday at Chip Cummings Field.
