PLATTSBURGH — Brayden Trombley drove in three runs, while Brady Doorey and Wyatt Premore had two hits apiece to lead the Clinton County Junior Mariners to a 13-1 win over the North Country Nationals Tuesday night at Lefty Wilson Field.
The Mariners scored four runs in the first inning.
Doorey singled, Zach O’Connell doubled and Ian McCasland walked to load the bases. Cody Lambert walked to force in a run, and Trombley followed with a two-run single.
Clinton County tallied five times in the third inning.
Lambert doubled and John Laporte and Premore singled to highlight the inning.
The Mariners added four runs in the fourth, propelled by Colin Golden’s two-run single.
Premore earned the win with two scoreless innings. Anthony Marion allowed one run in two innings, and Jacob Schiraldi finished with two scoreless innings.
The Mariners are back in action today when they host the Colchester Cannons at Lefty Wilson Field at 5:30 pm.
