Expos, Padres split CVBL twinbill

PLATTSBURGH — The Meron’s Expos and Peabody’s Padres split a pair of games Sunday in Champlain Valley Baseball League action.

The Expos took game one, while the Padres won game two.

In the first matchup, Hunter Bell drove in Dominick Bordeau with a RBI single as Meron’s won in walk-off fashion.

Bell, Ryan Barcomb and Russ Gallo all finished with multiple hits for the Expos.

Rylee Hollister had two hits for Peabody’s, including a double.

Ben Norcross allowed just one run in a complete-game victory in game two for the Padres.

Shane Parrotte and Matt Rivers had three hits, and Andrew Murphy had two base knocks to lead Peabody’s lineup.

Bryce Gautreau and Mike Bordeau nothced two hits apiece for Meron’s.
