Cardinals rally past Rockies

CHAMPLAIN — The 4th Ward Cardinals scored seven unanswered runs on their way to a 7-4 win against the Champlain Rockies in Champlain Valley Baseball League action Wednesday.

Joe Tolosky and Tom Neale both registered two base knocks for the Cardinals, and Eric Rock picked up the pitching win.

Rock went the distance, fanned seven batters and allowed just two earned runs.

4th Ward took the lead for good in the fifth thanks to a four-run frame.

Marcus Lefebvre led the Rockies with three hits, including two doubles.

Alex Lafountain went six innings, gave up three earned runs and struck out four batters for Champlain.
