I am appalled by our president giving and calling his adversaries degrading nicknames. Is that his defense for dealing with anyone who opposes or disagrees with him? Sad and childish. In addition, if I received a federal subpoena and refused to appear, what do you think would happen to me? How can the White House tell staff to ignore those subpoenas?

Let's see if we have any honest Republicans left in Washington once these impeachment hearings are over. As Judge Judy says, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is a duck. No matter what the twitter tweets say.

I am Catholic and can't understand how fellow Christians can support a president who is just the opposite of the adage: What would Jesus do? President Trump insults and demeans people. His attitude toward women is deplorable. He cheats on his wife, insults people with disabilities, won't help immigrants, rejects longtime allies and doesn't believe in taking care of the planet. I listened to every minute of the impeachment hearings and think it was very clear that he put his own political interests before that of our country.

Considering that there are 49,362 more registered Republicans than Democrats in NY-21, perhaps the “non-partisan” Press-Republican would provide its readership with Letters to the Editor that show the perspective of conservative constituents... unfortunately, that’s not happening. Sad. (Editor's note: The Press-Republican prints all letters that meet the 300-word limit, include the author's name, address and phone number and don't feature hate language. Email letters to:
