Loves the staff

TO THE EDITOR: Wow, everybody should take a little tour to see the newly remodeled Plattsburgh Rehab and Nursing Center located on Bushey Boulevard in Plattsburgh. It's looking real nice.

Hats off to the new owners and construction workers. Along with the cosmetic work, the institution received new electronic and gym equipment and beautiful furniture for the residents and employees.

The entire staff is wonderful and the residents are in very good hands. I am proud of the work done by the caretakers and all the workers.

They care and dedicate their attention toward the well-being of the residents. God bless everyone.

President not implicated

TO THE EDITOR: I am writing to voice my concern over how the latest attempt to impeach the president has been conducted.

Since before taking office, Democrats in Congress have been calling for the impeachment of President Trump. Millions of dollars have been spent on nonstop investigations, and the president has yet to be implicated. The current ongoing attempt to impeach President Trump is on a foundation of secrecy, and one-sided, Democratic control.

Chairman Schiff misrepresented the phone call between President Trump and the Ukrainian president. Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has been working tirelessly to bring transparency to this latest impeachment attempt and to hold Adam Schiff accountable. Despite the recent vote to begin the impeachment inquiry, these rules should have been present from the start. Furthermore, this entire attempt to impeach the president is taking attention away from the important issues of healthcare and national security.

Watch her actions

TO THE EDITOR: Not sure why Rep. Stefanik adopts the air of aggrieved Republican.

All can see her eyes are fixed on the presidency. Her carefully acted role of injured toadie on national television deserves an award. Her actions, however, are more insidious.

She waves the flag of our country like the true right wing nationalist she is. She has photo ops exploiting veterans. She pins on a medal and brags about her support of our veterans. That’s all fine, but what about that veteran's working class family? What about the rest of us?

Answer: She got hers; you get yours. I’m a veteran with a veteran father.
