Green Up thanked
TO THE EDITOR: I want to thank everyone who participated in the Schuyler Falls Green up effort on June 8.
Special thanks go out to Sean Lucas and his team from Casella for their sponsorship and generous support of this very worthwhile event. I also want to thank Rick Potiker and Sheila Martin from the Town of Schuyler Falls for all their help and enthusiastic participation.
Thanks to the people from the county and state who were involved in the process. We are considering a fall event this year, as well as another event each Spring. I encourage everyone interested in keeping our community clean and beautiful to participate in future Green Up Day events. It’s an opportunity to bring the people of our town together and help instill a sense of pride in our wonderful community. Please consider volunteering for future events.
Thanks again to all those who made this event possible.
BrewForce was great
TO THE EDITOR: On June 1, the first inaugural Plattsburgh BrewForce Craft Festival was held on the grounds adjacent to Valcour Brewing Company in Plattsburgh, and sponsored by Oval Craft Brewing, Valcour Brewing Co., Mountain Spirit Distilling LLC, and members of the Adirondack Garda Cycling Club.
Thanks to all who attended. We hope you enjoyed listening to Glass Onion and enjoyed the amazing food provided by Dubbs, Squealz On Wheelz, The Twisted Pita, and JP’s Doghouse. Also, a big shout out to the following breweries, distilleries, and vineyards that attended: Valcour Brewing, Oval Craft Brewing, Mountain Spirit Distilling, Township 7, Ledge Hill, Ausable Brewing, and Olde Tyme Winery. McAdams brought 14th Star Brewery, Harpoon Brewing, and Plattsburgh Brewing, while Saratoga Eagle brought Paradox Brewery, Frog Alley Brewing, and Bolton Landing Brewery.
We also want to thank the sponsors that helped make this event successful, which are: PM Leary Restoration, Luck Brothers, Inc., Country Malt Group, Plattsburgh Lions Club, UFirst Federal Credit Union, Studley Printing & Publishing, Taylor Rental, Hannaford Supermarket, Shield 457, Bruno’s Painting Plus, Dannemora Federal Credit Union, Kenna Hynes Felio-Century 21 Realty, Thomas Vagi-European Autohaus, Lake Champlain Pools, Cumberland Bay Market, West Side Ballroom, Wells Communication, The Party Factory, Mobil 1 Lube Express, Hulbert Brothers, Casella, and Kavanaugh Realty.
With your support we are making donations to the Clinton County Veterans Assistance Fund and the Tour De Force bicycle ride, which benefits families of fallen law enforcement officers. We have received a lot of positive feedback and are honored you believe in us.
Plans are underway for the 2020 BrewForce, which thanks to all of you, we are sure will be a bigger and better success. We hope to see all our friends, new and old, again next year.
