Thanksgiving at MHAB

Nearly 200 people were served a Thanksgiving dinner Thursday at the MHAB Life Skills Campus in Plattsburgh. MHAB, in conjunction with Champlain Valley Center All Ways to Recovery Community Center, put on the dinner for its clients in recovery, and anyone who didn’t have a place to go for the holiday, according to MHAB Founder Michael Carpenter. The food, including 11 turkeys, was donated or purchased through cash donations, and more than 40 people volunteered to help prepare and serve the meal. “It’s been great. We hope to do this annually,” Carpenter said.
