Adirondack Community Action Programs After-School Program: Accepting applications for program sites at Moriah Central, Westport Central, Schroon Lake Central and AuSable Valley Central schools and AuSable Forks Elementary. JCEO Head Start/Early Head Start Program: Taking referrals and applications for 2019-20 school year. Program serves eligible pregnant women, infants, and children who will turn 3 or 4 on or before Dec. 1, 2019, and may have a special need or disability. Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm: Sprouts day care year-round, ages 1 to 3 1/2 (4 in the summer); Farm & Forest pre-K and kindergarten is ages 3 and 1/2 to 6. All programs are at Black Kettle Farm and incorporate animal care, gardening and forest play. Healthy snacks and meals are provided with the day care. Plattsburgh City School District. Kindergarten registration and screening for the 2019-20 school year: Momot Elementary, 60 Monty St., June 18 from 9 to 2:30 pm. by appointment only. Saranac Co-operative Nursery School: Program academically based and runs 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Located at the former Dannemora Elementary. Children must be 3 years old and potty trained. 518-492-2448 for registration and information.
Seton Catholic: Accepting registrations for full-day prekindergarten (ages 3 to 4) through grade 12 at the school at 206 New York Road, Plattsburgh. SUNY Plattsburgh Child Care Center. (Also known as the “Sibley” program) Registering children for its Morning Preschool class for 3 and 4-year olds. This program operates Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon, for 10 months per year. Enrollment is open to families of both the campus and area community. SUNY Plattsburgh Project CONNECT: Aftercare program for students attending schools in Plattsburgh City School District. Program is enhanced with the help of teacher candidates from SUNY Plattsburgh, as well as certified teachers and day-care workers. Openings exist at each site.
