A Cadyville man faces a grand larceny charge.
According to Plattsburgh City Court Records, at 4 p.m. on Nov. 12, Matthew N. Kubik, 24, stole the JP Morgan Chase New York State EBT debit card of Susan Geppner.
According a police deposition, Geppner went to Plattsburgh Police Department Tuesday to report her card had been stolen and upon checking her account activity, found four transactions totaling $160 made after she noticed it was gone.
Geppner told police she had a party at her house the day the card went missing and Kubik, her boyfriend, was in attendance.
After checking surveillance footage from one of the transaction locations, police observed Kubik making the purchase, the record said.
Kubik faces a felony charge for fourth-degree grand larceny and two counts of felony fourth-degree possession of stolen property.
He was arrested Nov. 16 after admitting he took the card and used it, and he is due back in City Court Nov. 30.
