A Plattsburgh man faces a DWI charge.
According to Plattsburgh City Court records, David M. Pearce, 47, was driving a 1997 Dodge Stratus north on South Catherine Street with no working headlights at around 1 a.m. Oct. 27.
Police said when Pearce was stopped he had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol. After failing multiple sobriety tests and found to have a blood alcohol content of .09 percent, Pearce was arrested.
Police said Pearce faces two felony charges for driving while intoxicated — based on his driving history which showed a previous conviction from March 4, 2004, of driving while intoxicated — and for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
Pearce was also given two infractions for passing a red signal and having no or inadequate lights.
