FORT COVINGTON — Five people sustained injuries following a two-car accident Saturday, police said.
Shortly before 11:26 a.m., Matthew J. Hall, 25, of Massena was traveling eastbound on State Route 37 near Gove Street in the Town of Fort Covington when he attempted to turn left into the Twin Leaf parking lot and allegedly failed to yield to the right of way of a vehicle traveling west on State Route 37 driven by Camille L. White, 31, of Fort Covington, Malone-based State Police said.
White’s vehicle struck Hall’s, police said.
Hall and his passengers, Elizabeth Bushey, 23, of Massena; Olivia Hall, 4, of Massena; and Tiana Hall, a Massena resident who was born earlier this year, were taken to Massena Memorial Hospital where they were treated and later released, police said.
White and her passenger, Halle Lazore, 9, of Fort Covington, were taken to Alice Hyde Medical Center where they were treated and released, police said.
Hall was ticketed for failure to yield to the right of way when making a left turn, police said.
