PLATTSBURGH — A Peru woman was injured in a two-car accident Thursday.

Shortly before 1:42 p.m., Ricki Martin, 55, of Plattsburgh was traveling west on Broad Street in the City of Plattsburgh when he looked up to put down his sun visor, Plattsburgh City Police said.

When Martin looked back to the roadway he saw a vehicle driven by Patricia Henry, 55, of Peru stopped in front of him in traffic, police said.

Martin told police it was too late to avoid an accident and his vehicle struck the back of Henry’s, police said.

Henry complained of head and neck injuries and was taken to CVPH Medical Center for treatment, police said.

Martin was ticketed for following to closely.
