TICONDEROGA — Two people were injured in a one-car accident Sunday morning.

At about 10:45 a.m., Derrick Bright, 18, was traveling west on Montcalm Street when he lost control of his vehicle after sliding on ice and crashed into a utility pole, according to the Ticonderoga Police Department.

Bright was transported to Moses Ludington Hospital for a broken arm, and a 17-year-old female passenger, whose name police declined to release due to her age, was also transported for a laceration, police said.

No tickets were issued as of Sunday afternoon.
