A man faces three felony charges after allegedly violating an order of protection Sunday afternoon.

The Tupper Lake Police Department reported Paul Thomas, 28, of Tupper Lake sent text messages to a person who had an order of protection against him.

He was arraigned before Justice Michael Demars in Tupper Lake Village Court and charged with three counts of first-degree criminal contempt and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail.

He is scheduled to reappear in court at a later date.
