FORT COVINGTON — A Fort Covington teen was charged May 28 with criminal mischief.

The 14-year-old boy damaged his bedroom door and sheet rock in his bedroom before going outside the Chateaugay Street residence where he took a hatchet and threw it at the hood of a pickup truck, State Police said.

The boy was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and third-degree criminal mischief, a felony.

He was issued appearance tickets returnable to Franklin County Family Court.
