Kent-Delord House Museum earns StEPS certificate

PLATTSBURGH — The Kent-Delord House Museum recently received a certificate in the Audience Section of the Standards and Excellence Program for History Organizations.

The StEPS program is an American Association for State and Local History program that assists history organizations with meeting national standards for accreditation.

President of the museum's board Paula Calkins Lacombe said in a release that the certificate was attained after the museum assessed current visitor services and outlined ways they could improve.

“The Museum is among 190 groups across the country that have earned certificates and are part of 1000 history organizations working with the StEPS program," Calkins Lacombe said. "We want to operate a quality Museum and the StEPS program gives us the structure to help us accomplish this."
