SCHUYLER FALLS €" Viola E. Ormsby, 77 died on April 22, 2007, at CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Plattsburgh on March 31, 1930, daughter of the late Charles and Julia (Lafountain) Seymour.

She was predeceased by her husband, Schuyler P. Ormsby on Jan. 24, 1985.

Viola lived her life helping others. She received many awards and certificates for her volunteer service over the years. She enjoyed traveling, baking delicious treats for her family and friends, gardening and knitting. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her generosity, strength and keen sense of humor will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

She is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard and Nancy Seymour of Plattsburgh and Gerald and Dianna Seymour of Plattsburgh; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Gordon Winterbottorn of West Chazy and Betty and Dana Burl of Plattsburgh.

She was the beloved mother of nine, Sandra Robart of California, Cinthia Cordle of Alabama, Sheila Brooks of West Chazy, Deborah Russell of Florida, Roy Perry of Champlain, Rory Perry of Plattsburgh, Robin Perry of Schuyler Falls and Patricia White of Florida. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Viola is predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Wood; a brother, Frank Seymour; and a daughter, June Perry.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday from St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Interment will follow in the Peasleeville Cemetery with her late husband, Schuyler P. Ormsby.

Viola's family wishes to offer deep gratitude to the staff and caregivers at CVPH Six Main Skilled Nursing Facility for the wonderful care and love they have shown during her three year residency.
