Matthew Ryan Miller of Plattsburgh has been named to the Dean’s List at Norwich University, Northfield, Vt. Norwich University is an academic institution that educates traditional age students and adults in a Corps of Cadets and as civilians.
Megan Harris of Morrisonville has been recognized by Northeastern University in Boston as a distinguished student, naming her to the Dean’s List. She majors in behavioral neuroscience.

Nichole McIntosh of Dannemora received a Bachelor of Science Degree in radiation therapy from SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse. Also, Michael Theeman of Plattsburgh, received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Syracuse University.
Three local students have been named to the Dean’s List at Connecticut College, New London, Conn. They are Astrid Kempainen, of Chazy, High Honors, Class of 2015; Bolster McKinley of Westport, Class of 2016; and Willa McKinley of Westport, Class of 2016.
Samantha Adamson of Ticonderoga and William Larzelere of Lake Placid graduated from Union College, Schenectady. Adamson received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology. Larzelere was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.
Megan Colleen Richards of Rouses Point has been named to the Dean’s List at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., for the spring semester.
Emily Manchester of Plattsburgh earned a perfect GPA of 4.0 during the spring semester at SUNY Oneonta and has been named to the college’s Provost’s List. Of the more than 5,800 undergraduates enrolled at the college, 140 qualified for this listing, earning a perfect GPA while carrying a course load of at least 12 semester hours.
Three area students have graduated from Castleton College, Castleton, Vt. They are Tanner LeCuyer of Plattsburgh, Bachelor of Science in communication; Carolyn Mader of Saranac Lake, Bachelor of Music in music education; and Juliann Mandy of Ticonderoga, Bachelor of Science in physical education.
Joseph Gonyeau of Ticonderoga has been named to the President’s List at Siena College, Loudonville, with a GPA of 3.94. He is a business and pre-law major and will be a sophomore when he returns to Siena this fall.
The Northeastern Zone of the New York State Retired Teachers Association has presented local students with the Dr. Karl R. and Ruth Kramer Scholarships for $500 each. The recipients are, from Essex County,Kendra Manning, daughter of Melissa and Daniel Manning, a graduate of Lake Placid High School who will attend Hobart and William Smith College; and from Clinton County, Catherine Bova, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bova, who graduated Saranac Central High School and will attend SUNY Plattsburgh.
