PLATTSBURGH -- A new Web site has been launched for Plattsburgh International Airport, following the recent dedication of the passenger terminal and in time for the anticipated start of service by July.

The Web site has both English and French versions available, reflecting Plattsburgh International's position as "Montreal's U.S. airport."

It is designed to support future passenger operations, as well as economic-development marketing and general aviation and has been designed to be easily changeable so its content can be updated and expanded on a continual basis.

"It focuses on a clean look with the basic information and contacts our various audiences will want," Michelle Powers, marketing director at the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce, said in a news release.

"It should be an efficient and effective gateway both for future airline passengers and for prospective developers."

The site was created for the airport by the Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce and Media Central of Plattsburgh and is accessible via several Web addresses:

Plattsburgh International Airport is a new regional airport and aerospace park created on the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base.

Already an industrial airport, it is now open for the development of new passenger services for northern New York, the Montreal region and Vermont.

The Plattsburgh-North Country Chamber of Commerce has been designated by the Clinton County Legislature, along with the Development Corp. of Clinton County, to market and develop the airport.
