Peru replacing box culvert PERU — The Patent Road here is closed between Mannix and 328 Patent Road through Thursday as a box culvert is replaced.

Emergency vehicles and local residents cannot access that stretch of road.

Town of Plattsburgh Board works on budget

PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Town Board has slated meetings to work on the 2012 budget for 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Thursday at the Town Hall, 151 Banker Road, Plattsburgh.

The public is encouraged to attend.

AVCS Board meets tonight

KEESEVILLE — The AuSable Valley Central School Board meets at 6 tonight in the cafeteria at Keeseville Elementary School.

The Student Council will make a report; an athletic presentation and annual report is on the agenda, as is a Dance Club trip.

If an executive session is called, it will take place following the presentations and at the end of the meeting.

Meetings are open to the public.

Champlain changes council meeting date

CHAMPLAIN — The Nov. 8 meeting of the Champlain Town Council has been changed to Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m.

The public is welcome.
