Lake Placid School Board to meet 

LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Central School District Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 3 beginning at 6:15 p.m. at the Administration Building, 50 Cummings Rd. in Lake Placid.

A motion to enter executive session for the purposes of discussing the employment history of certain personnel relating to tenure is expected after the meeting opening.

There will be a public hearing on the proposed District Safety Plan beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The regular board meeting is scheduled to begin directly after the District Safety Plan Hearing.

NCCS Board meeting 

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will hold a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in the Middle/High School Library in Champlain.

Items on the agenda include proposed capital project presentation (auditorium) and adoption of a safety plan.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Westport Fire District meeting

WESTPORT — The Westport Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners will hold a special meeting to discuss the plans for the replacement of the Westport Hose Company firehouse on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Westport Town Hall.

The commissioners will display plans, answer questions, discuss financing and plot the course for the future.

Public input is sought.

A bond referendum vote is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Westport Hose Company firehouse at 38 Champlain Ave.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Immunization Clinic

MALONE — Franklin County Public Health will hold an immunization clinic on Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the first floor kitchen conference room at the County Courthouse at 355 W. Main St. in Malone.

A parent with immunization records must accompany all children.

Vaccines will also be available for children and young adults.

Call 518-481-1673 for an appointment. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Vaccines are also available for children under 19 who do not have insurance to cover the shots.
