Boil Water Order Lifted

ELIZABETHTOWN — The boil water order for the Town of Elizabethtown has been lifted.

 

Campus Bike Round-up

PLATTSBURGH — University Police will conduct its annual SUNY Plattsburgh campus bicycle round-up Thursday, July 18.

The round-up is held to clear the abandoned and forgotten bikes left on campus and to ready the campus for the fall semester and new bicycles.

On Wednesday, July 10, bikes will be tagged with the make, model, serial number and location. Anyone who currently has a bike on campus that is being used will need to collect the tag and notify University Police at 518-564-2022 so the bike isn’t collected on July 18.

Unclaimed bikes will be moved to storage.

Anyone whose bike is subsequently taken to storage can call UP to reclaim it.

 

BOCES Board to meet

MALONE — A special meeting of the Board of Cooperative Educational Services of the Sole Supervisory District of Franklin and Hamilton Counties will be held Wednesday, July 10 at the North Franklin Educational Center in Malone.

The meeting begins at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.

   

AVCS Library vote set for July 10

CLINTONVILLE — Au Sable Valley Central School District will hold a special meeting and library vote for qualified voters of the Au Sable Valley Central School District on Wednesday, July 10 at the Clintonville Middle School-High School Cafeteria.

Voting hours will be from noon to 9:00 p.m.

The special meeting will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 7:30 a.m. at district office in Clintonville.

The meeting will be to discuss personnel items.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Livable Community Committee to meet 

​​​PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh Livable Community Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday, July 10 at 5 p.m. in the Old Council Chambers of City Hall.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

NCCS board to meet 

CHAMPLAIN — The Northeastern Clinton Central School Board will hold a re-organizational meeting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10 at the Middle/High School Library in Champlain.

The board will consider the appointment of officers, new hires, annual business contracts, appointment of substitutes and appointment of Coaches.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Boquet Valley school board to meet 

ELIZABETHTOWN — The Boquet Valley Central School District Board of Education will hold its re-organization and regular meeting on Wednesday, July 10 at the Mountain View Campus in Elizabethtown.

The meeting will open at 6:30 p.m. and immediately enter into an anticipated executive session.

The regular meeting will reconvene at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Agenda items will include annual re-organizational motions, presentation of recommendations by the Transition Advisory Teams, appointments, and any other business that may come before the Board.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Clinton County Legislature to meet 

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton County Legislature will meet Wednesday, July 10 in the Legislative Chambers on the second floor of the Government Center, 137 Margaret Street in Plattsburgh at 7 p.m.

Among the resolutions to be acted upon are: “Authorizing high-visibility road checks/saturation patrols during impaired driving crackdowns grant application, approving appointments to the Traffic Safety Board and authorizing the purchasing gent to solicit bids for various materials and services as needed for the Year 2020.

Meetings are open to the public.

 

Lake Placid School Board to meet 

LAKE PLACID — There will be a meeting of the Lake Placid Central School’s Board of Education at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16.

The meeting will be held at the Administrative Services Center, 50 Cummings Rd., Lake Placid.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Ellenburg Dems to meet 

ELLENBURG — The Town of Ellenburg Democrat Party will hold a caucus at the Town Hall at 7 p.m. on July 12.

The caucus is called for the purpose of nominating candidates to fill existing vacancies for the town elections, to be held on Nov. 5.

Offices to be voted upon: town councilperson, four years; town councilperson, four years; town councilperson, two years; town justice, four years; tax collector, two years.

All registered Democrats in the Town of Ellenburg are strongly urged to attend and participated in this process.

 

PLATTSBURGH — The Plattsburgh City School District will continue its policy for serving meals for children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2019-2020 school year, which would allow for all children at all schools/sites to be served meals at no charge.

PLATTSBURGH — The Kids' Station Children's Museum will be holding an Exploring With Robots event on Saturday, July 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The event will be held at 13 New York Rd., and will feature hands-on activities, robot-themed crafts and a tour of the museum.

The cost will be $5 per person or $4 per person for Kids' Station members, and children under 1 are free.

 

Solid Waste to meet

MALONE — The County of Franklin Solid Waste Management Authority will hold its regular board meeting Wednesday, July 17 at 3 p.m.

The meeting will be held in the second-floor conference room of the County Courthouse.

The meeting is open to the public.

 

Bridge Improvements Meeting 

CROWN POINT — The Lakes to Locks Passage, Inc. will be hosting a public informational meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 18 for the Champlain Bridge Roadway Improvements Project.

The meeting will be held at the Crown Point State Historic Site Pavilion.

The meeting is open to the public.
