Plans progressing for Rouses Point's Fourth of July 

ROUSES POINT — The Rouses Point Fourth of July Committee is looking for new members to help plan this summer's festivities.

The group will meet next at 7 p.m. tonight at the American Legion in Rouses Point.


CCC Board of Trustees to meet Tuesday

PLATTSBURGH — The Clinton Community College Board of Trustees will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the board room on the second floor of the Moore Academic and Administrative Building on the main campus.

Agenda items include consideration of resolutions to revise the Student Code of Conduct, among them new language outlining the definition of affirmative consent; alcohol and/or drug use amnesty in sexual violence cases; and new language on the Sexual Violence Response Policy.

The meeting is open to the public.

The board will meet next on May 19.


Saranac Lake School Board to adopt budget

SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Central School Board will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the library at Petrova Elementary School.

Agenda items include approval of the 2015-16 school budget, appointment of election workers and numerous reports.

The public is welcome.


Chateaugay School Board to discuss personnel

CHATEAUGAY — The Chateaugay Central School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21.

Agenda items include the Property Tax Report Card, food service report and an executive session for the purpose of discussing personnel matters as they relate to specific individuals and contractual matters.

The meeting is open to the public.


Northern Adirondack School Board to recognize winners

ELLENBURG — The Northern Adirondack School Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in the District Office Conference Room.

An executive session to discuss collective negotiations will take place at approximately 4:30 p.m. The board will reconvene for public-session business at about 6:45 p.m.

At the meeting, the girls and boys basketball teams will be recognized, as will the boys wrestling champions, the Skills USA winners, Model United Nations honorable mention and FFA state leaders.

Agenda items include the adoption of the 2015-2016 school budget, approval of the administration budget of the CVES Clinton-Essex-Warren-Washington BOCES for the 2015-2016 school year and election of the BOCES board members.
