PLATTSBURGH — Two were arrested on methamphetamine charges following a tip, City Police say in a release.

James Harris, 28, and Morisa Cruz, 32, were found manufacturing meth in their 14 Brinkerhoff St. apartment Sept, 14, the release said. 

City Police searched the residence and allegedly found an active "one-pot" meth lab, as well as several meth manufacturing materials. 

The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team was dispatched and assisted in the recovery of hazardous materials related to the methamphetamine manufacturing process.

Harris and Cruz were each charged with third-degree manufacturing methamphetamine in and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, both felonies, as well as second-degree criminal possession of meth manufacturing materials, a misdemeanor, and they were arraigned in Plattsburgh City Court on Sept. 14.

Cruz was committed to the Clinton County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $5,000 bond while Harris was committed to the jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
