PLATTSBURGH — A man who was caught on camera allegedly exposing himself to children outside of Target in Plattsburgh has been apprehended, State Police say.
Allan E. Pontes, 48, of Queensbury, was arrested in the town of Esopus in Ulster County Sept. 9, according to a State Police press release.
He was identified and arrested following tips on Facebook and a state police investigation after a release detailing the alleged Aug. 20 incident was sent out Sept. 6.
Pontes was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of first-degree public lewdness, all misdemeanors, as well as exposure of a person, a violation.
He was arraigned in Beekmantown Town Court and remanded to Clinton County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
He was due to appear in Plattsburgh Town Court Tuesday afternoon.
