MALONE — A 47-year-old Malone man has been charged with possession of child-pornography videos and computer images.

Howard A. Frigerio of 1 Grove St. pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Court to five counts of promotion of a sexual performance by a child and five counts of possession of a sexual performance by a child.

District Attorney Derek Champagne said Frigerio had “very graphic computer images and videos showing young children performing sex acts.”

The alleged incident occurred on March 25 and was uncovered when the State Police Computer Crimes Unit reportedly intercepted Internet traffic.

The DA said there was evidence that images were downloaded to a certain computer and that the computer was later identified as one used by Frigerio.

He said an arrest was made when the Malone man “then conveyed the image to an undercover police officer.”

Champagne said the images involved a number of children under the age of 10.

Frigerio is being held in Franklin County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 insurance bond.

A court conference on the case is scheduled for Wednesday before County Court Judge Robert G. Main Jr.
