PLATTSBURGH — Hundreds of marchers took their anti-gun message downtown Saturday, adding their voices to nationwide protests in favor of gun control.

In Plattsburgh, members of the SUNY Plattsburgh Young Dem Socialists led the March for Our Lives to Trinity Park. North Country residents also marched in Saranac Lake and Malone.

The protests here joined more than 800 similar events worldwide commemorating the shooting deaths of 17 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.

In Washington hundreds of thousands of teenagers and their supporters rallied, making this one of the biggest youth protests since the Vietnam era.
